Lisa,
While we did not know John personally, we know that you were really good friends and our thoughts and prayers are with all his family and friends. We always enjoyed his very clear and focused posts. Sorry that we did not now that he was so ill--if there is anything we can do, please let us know. Sympathy to all.

This is very sad to hear. He seemed like really cool guy. I always appreciated that his avatar was a real picture of himself and gave me a friendly face to envision the words streaming from. Very sad loss indeed. I'll miss his postings.

I am heartbroken to hear about this. Though i do not know him, i have thought about him, his family, and friends throughout my day. What words can be said to console a heart at a time like this?, i honestly do not know. Maybe just knowing that you are being thought of and praying for strength, faith, and peace to come upon his family and friends.

Paula...Speedbump? I assume that's yet another affectionate term for John's guide dogs Brenda or the newly added Diablo...aka..."Little Man". The dogs actually belong to his friend and caretaker, Dan. So, they will remain with him.

Stephen, could you be sure that Majid knows as well? John used to stop in at Saffron's occasionally during his zig zag traverse home during the hot summer months. (He would stop by several places along his route home from work in downtown to cool off). :-)
