Oi!

I wrote it up last night after work and thought I had saved to draft so that I could review it this morning with fresh eyes (I was getting kinda tired there at the end.)

I previewed it but didn't save it.

Once more, with feeling....

Hubby can vouch for the Monte Cristo slider - said it was fantastic! I loved the lamb pops and the mast o laboo - different, but delicious! Of course we were well entertained by Stephen :-) and happy to meet Majid after reading so many nice things about him on this Board all these years!

We'll definitely be back!

I can't wait to see you guys again!

Next time, I have to turn you onto some Lebanese juice I just tasted and am currently allocating from Ksara. Sort of old-world with a nod to the new world. The Rhone-style blends are especially interesting.

I think you'll like the cost-structure too. Designed for wine-lovers, the eclectic stuff is always half-priced (in the restaurant too) and the American selections (under $100) are priced at 2.5x cost.

The main challenge, for me, is anticipating what's gonna move. Sure, Sonoma Cutrer and Rombauer are multi-case purchases, but who knew everybody would fall in love with a $19/bottle pinot noir from Israel?

PS. Website is up!

We had a wonderful meal at Majid's on New Years Eve. I had the seafood stew, my wife had the strip steak and my vegetarian daughter had the vegetable kebab. This was the limited menu, very good. Salmon crustini was delish as was the Shiraz salad and a to die for cheesecake for dessert. We look forward to going back and trying the full menu. The decor is in a very attractive modern neoclassic style, and we saw many of our customer there, so it must be good. Majid came by, and everyone was very attentive without being overbearing. I'm sure they have broken the curse of that location. Also the bar was rocking..... Best to Majid and crew. Cheers. Bill and Susi

Brought in the New Year there after a wonderful dinner at North End Cafe. Really looking forward to having a meal there as well. Great remodel job!

I went in to Majids few days before they opened. The place looks great. It's one of the best looking places in town. I talked to Majid a couple of days ago and he said everything is going great.

Of course they have Stephen there so how great is that?

Lunch today was supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! Both my friend and I had half a half rack of lamb with a mid-eastern pinot noir by the glass Both were superb! Afterwards we relaxed over "Persian Coffees" that included Stephen's special twist.

I'm not one hundered per cent positive, but I believe that they are open six days a week (closed on Monday.)

Gayle, are reservations either accepted or required?
