It's where my four pound Maltese is groomed. Great people and they even work on real dogs.

The police have reached no conclusions, and, of course, it's possible that someone committing insurance fraud would spray-paint a racial epithet, but this looks ugly. I thought Louisville was a better place.

Louisville is a better place. It's the reason I'm still here after so many years; for better or worse.

While Louisville may be "a better place", that doesn't mean things like racial attacks can't/don't happen here. How awful if this proves to be a racial attack.

Spray painting something on the inside of a building you expect to burn up doesn't make sense.

This assumes that the person doing the burning isn't ignorant.

Irrational isn't the same as ignorant. The act of arson is wrong but one would still expect the arsonist(s) to behave rationally given the circumstances under which they were operating. It is really hard for me to believe that someone would not know that destroying something by burning it would also destroy writing you put on that thing.

I may be wrong. People often behave in unexpected ways. For example, I never expected anyone in this forum to use a vulgar sexual term to refer to people whose politics they disagreed with.

Sorry, Marybeth, but...

"Moreover, as Jay Nordlinger at National Review admits, the term "teabagger" was introduced to the political lexicon by Tea Party movement leaders:

The first big day for this movement was Tax Day, April 15. And organizers had a gimmick. They asked people to send a tea bag to the Oval Office. One of the exhortations was “Tea Bag the Fools in D.C.” A protester was spotted with a sign saying, “Tea Bag the Liberal Dems Before They Tea Bag You.” So, conservatives started it: started with this terminology."

I didn't know that, nor do I know (nor want to know) what pornographic uses a tea bag can be put to. But when Yarmuth had his Town Hall meeting at Central High School to talk about health care reform, the tea-sipping folks flooded the place with a lot of loud people who didn't seem to have excellent reasoning skills, and dozens of them were swinging little tea bags around.

Sorry, Marsha.
I've seen many vulgar things, on many vulgar signs, held up by many vulgar people. Does this mean it is now OK to be vulgar here?

Seriously, I can say whatever I want, as long as I've seen it on a sign before? Really?

I'm not aware that the words "Tea bag" are vulgar. Except perhaps in their political use, attributed to a gang that bears some resemblance to the No Nothing Party of the 1800s.

To the best of my knowledge, "teabagging" or" teabagger" is a sex act that most conservatives would consider vulgar. The term was quickly associated with the tea party movement by many liberals in an attempt to brand the movement as wrong or vulgar. Just like saying all conservatives hate blacks, gays, Muslims, the environment and poor people. I f you don't know what I'm talking about look it up on urban dictionary.
