I'm not too worried about that, Bill. We've got a darn good gang of people here. Bigger concern, it seems to me, is whether creating a "satellite" forum for this purpose will focus attention on it or just put it out of sight. As good as the other forums we have now are, just a glance will show you that most of the action stays in the main forum.

I believe that if someone is wanting to hire someone, just use "help wanted" in the subject line. As long as Robin makes it clear that is OK, it would get the most views. Better than a new subject.

Robin,

I'm with Ed and Amy: I think having it as a separate category on the Index is a really good idea. (way to go Fred!) Job seekers and managers will start using it once they know it exists and It'll keep job info separate AND easily accessible.

I agree with it going into a separate forum. The reason is because once the floodgates open, these type of posts might tend to visually interfere with regular discussion posts.

I like the idea of a separate forum also. What a great resource it would be.

This forum community being a democracy, mostly, except when I decide it just can't be ;) , I've listened respectfully to the discussion and figure we might as well give it a try!

It's important to use it, though, so particularly folks in the industry, if you'll make it a point to post jobs-related inquiries there, whether you're hiring or looking for a job in the Louiville-area food-and-drink industry. Posts about jobs in other markets are also okay, but bear in mind that the audience here is largely local.

(By the way, anybody who's looking or hiring but needs to keep your identity confidential for obvious reasons, if you feel you can trust me (and I hope you can), contact me privately and in such instances, I'll post for you.
