As far as TV goes, I have to mention Graham Kerr (the "Galloping Gourmet"). Probably not the first dude to drink wine on the air but for sure the first one to dare make "Spotted Dick" on national TV!

Chef, check this vintage Graham Kerr bit on Johnny Carson. Classic! I believe Bourdain had a bit with one of the Adria brothers where they were doing the same thing while eating roasted winter onions.

The owners and chefs in restaurants.

Although I have never worked in a restaurant, I have worked for many. I learned one thing for sure.

I would never work or own a restaurant. Too hot, too much work, bad hours.
