I'm really excited about this and can't wait to visit and shop. My sister worked at the old Campbell's years ago, and I spent one Christmas season behind the register. I used to love the way the old place smelled - and seeing that you'll have the coffee, tea, and chocolate, you'll have a good start at re-creating that. It will be so nice to have a shop close by with inventory of this caliber. I'm sure I'll be buying a lot of Christmas presents (for myself) there. Best of luck - the article today should help with the buzz.

Congratulations Linda! Great name too. I was just in the Hubbards Lane Kroger an hour ago and drove by to read the letter posted on Campbell's door. I left wondering where to source future needs. I'm so glad something new is coming from everything that was. I am long time friends with Rich and Chris at Westport. I bet they'll be excited when you all open. :D

Catherine, you really have me confused: Cooking at the Cottage is going to be in the Vogue Center in St. Matthews. Rich and Chris are at Westport Whiskey and Wine in Westport Village in Lyndon, right? So why are they going to be excited when Linda and Mark open?

Oops, mental. Thanks Gayle. For me, it's even better news as the Vogue is soooo close. And a cuter space too. There was something a bit institutional about the space on Hubbards Lane. BTW I noticed the Spice Merchant's space vacant across from Paul's in the Chenoweth Lane Plaza. Did they move or go out of business?

The Spice Merchant, sadly, is no more. She closed shop one week-end in mid-July.

Congratulations Linda and Mark! You guys are The Jam. I'll sign up for a class sometime. Hopefully you can get Marsha do some more - that would be my preference.

Does the "new" Cooking at the Cottage have a functional website...is there a class schedule for November available?
