Wow - I move to within a few miles of Westport Village - find a great coffee shop and - it closes. Yes there are ample options, but I enjoyed the fact that they already knew me on a first-name basis. Regarding the Comfy Cow issue - I visited La Vida Java enough in these few short weeks to earn a free cup and have yet to go into the Comfy Cow. Never even thought of it as a coffee option.

I wouldn't consider the C. Cow as a coffee option either. One doesn't go to Hiko-A-Mon and order steak.

Except maybe wagyu. I was trying to make my analogy Westport Village centric.

And you were right, too! :D But still, I saw that opening, and the little devil on my shoulder told me to aim for it.

R.I.P. La Vida Java. Your coffee tasted good for the time that you were here. <sniff!>
