My husband works really close to Pesto's so we drive by it everytime we meet up for lunch. I've wondered about it, but it has a fairly poor reputation among his coworkers so we've passed it up. Not to mention, Sicilian's is just a street over and it is fantastic!!

That being said, the same coworkers said there was no good mexican in town and tend to pick chain restaurants for most of their outings. It's always makes me laugh when they refer to him as the "foodie" and great cook in the office...if only they knew!

Just got back from an excellent lunch at Theatre Square. They've expanded the menu and added a lot of new items, including the Berkshire pork tacos that I just demolished.

Lots of construction and renovation happening - I think they're adding a patio and something on the second floor.

Let's see you could check us out @ The Blind Pig in Butchertown !! We're are located just east of the downtown work district. Our lunch items are at or under $10.00 which include Fish & Chips, Bison Pattymelt, The Ivory Bacon, The Bacon Buddy, Chorizo etc - all our bacon and sausages are made and cured in house as well. Here's link to our website http://www.theblindpiglouisville.com/

I took your advice, and I am glad I did. This place is great! First, I couldn't think of a better place to put a restaruant which focuses on "swine dining" as the cards say. The building has been beautifully restored and the decor is nicely done. I had the chorizo sandwich with cheese and dijon, and my friend had the off menu special - italian sausage sandwich with peppers, onions, cheese, and aioli (if I remember correctly). Both were served on a bakery fresh sandwich roll with hand cut fries. This place is definitely going to be added to our lunch circuit and I am even looking forward to making it down for dinner. There are entree style dishes available after 5pm. If you haven't been check it out!

We are planning on hitting Blind Pig one day this coming week. Hope they'll have the italian sausage on special, one of my husband's favorite things!

We went over for lunch today, and had a delicious lunch ... the white pea puree and the fantabulous Ivory Bacon sandwich on Blue Dog Pugliese. I got some ratatouille, too, which was delicious, but my eyes were way bigger than my stomach, so we brought it home for leftovers.

Checked out The Blind Pig for lunch today and really enjoyed it! That Ivory Bacon sandwich is awesome! Hubby said next time he wants a plate of bacon and fries, he was very impressed with those items. The only thing he had to complain about was they didn't have Sweet Tea or Dr. Pepper, his go-to drinks...but he survived with a ginger ale. We also tried the lunch special which was a Grilled Chicken sandwich with grilled peppers and onions, provolone and a marinara sauce...it was fantastic! I wasn't too keen on ordering it, but Tim wanted to try it and it turned out to be very good. We'll definetly be back...loved the interior, good service, great food and several other items we want to try.

Just curious if there are plans to sell the bacon and sausages on the side? Or maybe do a weekend brunch? Some waffles with that bacon would be incredible!
