Wow, that's like 96 bucks a lb.
I had to check out that website and was quite impressed.

The LaTienda.com products that we ordered were excellent quality ( though we haven't tried the Iberico yet- that's a treat for this weekend when we can savor it). I also found their shipping to be amazing: we ordered several perishable meats. They came packed in ice packs ( ordered Monday, arrived Thursday) with no cost for perishable/fast shipping. It was only $6.95 to ship our whole order.
Their paells recipre was outstanding too, and there is a 10% off coupon at the end of the recipe. www.latienda.com.

If I can figure out to get the pics out of my iPhone, I'll post several that I took of these wonderful hams in the Mercado Central and at restaurants.

Tap the PHOTOS icon (sunflower), then tap CAMERA ROLL and tap the thumbnail of the picture you want to send. Tap the little envelope-arrow icon in the lower left corner, which will open an Email with the photo attached. Send it to yourself at an address you can pick up on a desktop or portable computer, and let 'er fly. When you get to the big computer, grab the mail, save the photo to disk, and Bob's your uncle. :)

It's actually far easier to do than to explain. It's all right-brain intuition, but when you have to spell it out step by step it sounds like more. Honest!

Ohhhhhhhh...well that explains it. I'm no longer right-brain capable. I left all those brain cells laying in front of a radar scope a couple of years ago...that and I'm sure there were a few that didn't make it through the 70's.

Hmm ... I might have the '70s problem, but I'm radar free. I've put in quite a few years in front of a monitor, though. :P

I'm really serious, though: I think the iPhone (and its kin) are immediate objects of love for people who work intuitively. For those who work analytically, maybe not so much.

Although not expensive Spanish ham, Jay Denham sent me these smoke cured Woodland Pork shoulders for the Field to Fork Dinner on Thursday night. I think they retail at $40 a pound. I can tell you the fat melted like butter when I tried a little piece. :D
They sure do smell nice!

Looks like those are going to be some mighty tasty hams.

Jay Denham, the former executive chef of Park Place, recently went on a six-month trip to Italy to learn from some of the most experienced makers of ham and salumi in the world.

Okay, I'm officially brain-dead. I use that feature to send pics to other people, but never thought about sending them to myself....I was thinking about something involving cables and downloading...

Really, I'm very technically astute- really I am.

Okay, Robin. I got all 4 pics, but the resolution is too large- they are 800x600. Any quick trick to changing the resolution so I can upload?
