Also restaurants with multiple locations should compete separately. I know that Mark's feed store has won several times but they won based on a total of votes for all locations.

I doubt LEO is going to bite a hand that is feeding them (free advertisement).

This is all about circulation, folks. Ethics and fairness are not even in the equation.

Eh I dont think letting people know there's an award you're eligible for is a bad thing. I dont think each location of the same restaurant should be split up unless those locations are doing their own twists on the menu.
I am the original Mike G, never mind the impostor.

I am kind of a big deal.

8 Zillion categories just mean 8 zillion category winners to approach and pitch a "Thank you for voting us Number 1 in ---(fill in the blank)---!" ad.
Somewhere along the line papers stopped being for the public's reading/information needs and started being about advertising sales. But that's another thread.

Hadn't thought about it from that angle Carla but you are exactly right. Sneaky little so and so's aren't they. Yeah, the more I think about this, the more it irks me. Restaurants aside, lets say I've got some kind of service business...Plumber, Roofer, Vet, etc. I can do the crappiest job in the world but if somehow I manage to stuff the ballot box enough all of a sudden I'm the "Best <fill in the blank> in Louisville". What a bunch of crap.
