Heather,
What's Karem's got to do with the original request? ::confused::

Leah,
If I understand correctly, Karem's sells the chocolate cake from Costco by the slice. Is that right, Heather?

I don't know who does the desserts at the Gardiner Ln. Heine Bros, but the chocolate bomb is awesome. It's a semi-soft chocolate shell filled with chocolate mousse, and it's super yummy, and super chocolately. Very rich.

Yes, I said Orginally that Karem's in NC serves the cake from Costco.

Oooh, that made me think of mine! I love the chocolate chip cookies ( and all the other flavors ) of Najla's cookies. You can buy the pre-made dough ( sold at Paul's, Dolls , others and at her bakery in Lyndon ) and bake them up fresh. All you need is a cookie sheet. We used to sell them at our store and everyone lusted after them right out of the oven. They'd be great at the lake!

Chocolate chess pie from the Pie Kitchen
German chocolate pie from The Feed Bag
Brownies from Lotsa Pasta, Meridian Cafe, Salsaritas, or Texas Roadhouse
Dipped chocolate cake donuts from Donut Kastle

If you love peanut butter, try the peanut butter mousse with peanut brittle at Meridian....wow!!!!

You say you want chocolate? We haven't been here long enough to know all the options, but Sweet Surrender does an excellent Belgian Chocolate Cake that will knock your socks off.

According to their website, you should order ahead if you want a whole cake (and you will want a whole cake).

I think that Desserts by Helen does the little cakes for Heine Bros. I'm not positive, I've never asked, but they look identical to the ones she has in her store on Bardstown.

I know this is a chain, but the Cheesecake Factory's Godiva cheesecake is the most decadent thing I have ever eaten. EVER. EVER. And I'm not even a chocoholic.

And yes, you can buy their cakes to take home. You can thank me later. :D

Thanks for the mention, Marie! Q&A Sweet Treats prepares the brownies at Lotsa Pasta, as well as the scones they sell. We have both our Iced Classic and Double Nut brownies there. And yes, they are VERY chocolate and very decadent! I'm so happy to hear you enjoy them.

You know I've been craving one of those since I posted that, and when I my ride home happened to stop by CVS on the way...

Not only did I get the Double Nut brownie but I got a pound of stuffed baby eggplant and a pound of dolmadakia (stuffed grape leaves).

Thanks for all the yummy suggestions. Now my challenge is to figure out how to try all of these at some point and still lose weight.

I'm pretty sure those Heine Brothers desserts come from Desserts by Helen.

Try the Chocolate Mousse cake at Ditto's. It's amazing! Don't forget about Plehn's bakery in St. Matthews, they have a great chocolate cake. And occasionally they have chocolate cupcakes that are really good!
