tried emille this past sunday but was dissappointed, just not my idea of sunday brunch I guess.

I love that place. Normally, I go there late at night to watch the boats and water flow by in their lazily manner. I love a good brunch and look forward to trying theirs.
Great food along with great company is truly one of lifes best treasures.

Has anyone had the brunch at Cunninghams on the River? Like or dislike? Would you recommend it?

Ed, it's very much like downtown with a nice view........only difference is they use the plastic tropical plates, and you need to check them closely because sometimes kitchen greese will collect on them......but other than that, no complaints.
If life's a Banquet, what's with all the Tofu?

Cheers!

I haven't tried their Sunday brunch but have sampled the daily lunch buffet a couple of times. I'd call it okay but not great. I like Sweet Peas okay and wish I could like it more, but I've never really been able to warm up to their paradigm of diner-style fare served in upscale surroundings. The quality of their down-home chow can approach that of Cottage Inn (which is very good indeed), but it doesn't quite make sense to me that they serve it in a bistro setting at near-bistro prices.

Brunch at Volare

by Michelle Manker » Mon Mar 12, 2007 6:58 pm

It is my understanding that Volare is releasing an entirely new brunch menu this Sunday, March 18. More tasty delicious food from Chef Dallas! :)

Brunch

Hey guys, I thought I would chime in and let you guys know Carly Rae's is doing Brunch Sat. and Sundays 10 A.M. until 1 P.M.We recently hired a classical guitarist to play during Sunday brunch hours. We are also on the lookout for a piano player for our lounge.Which we will need to rearrange the furniture to accomodate. The fare is homemade traditional brunch, nothing fusion or too fancy. The menu is on the website http://www.carlyraes.com .The biscuits are amazing. On the bar side...we hand make both kinds of our bloody mary mix every couple of days.Have a variety of mimosa's. I also run $4.50 Belgian Lindeman's Lambic Peche *Peach* beer on tap just for brunch. It goes perfect with something like the fried chicken and waffles.Aids in digestion and isn't too tarty.Perfect combination of sweet, salty, slight bitter, and the peach add's a hint of a sour note.It won't be around forever.Unless, it just absolutely takes off and can't get rid of it. I will replace it with Piraat also Belgian.

Brad, just looked over Carly Rae's menu and it sounds delicious! I'll have to pack up the kids and head over one weekend. Something I wanted to bring to your attention, though. On the brunch menu, under the Sweet Tooth Platter it says French 'oast' instead of toast. And under the kids pita bread pizza it says pita 'breat'.

You can t beat the view and the ease of gratis parking (They stamp your ticket for you for the lower level garage ).

The buffet is $20.95. (although I was told earlier, $16.95) There is a broad variety in each course including a waffle-omlette station. The presentation is excellent and the food quite good.

For me, I could have stopped at the chocolate fountain...Yummy chocolate continually cascades down and you merely insert your choice of strawberries, pineapple, etc....

A good overall experience.
