Where are all the people that had something to say about this subject this past weekend? I'm waiting for your responses. I'm very curious to hear your take on the story as it's been fleshed out. "Bring it here, where the light can shine."

Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

Yeah, that's what I figured. Just some people that love to stir the pot, with nothing to back it up. Have fun, you guys!

Not sure where everyone else is but this one is getting ready to enjoy a fresh garden salad on the deck, most likely followed by a couple of frosty adult beverages.

Steve! Nothing to say? No defense of your "Sullivan sells out/Did sullivan sell out?" thread titles? C'mon, man...I know you have something to say.

My 2 cents. As a Sullivan Grad (class of 97). They are a for profit university so if they did take money from Papa Johns thats their business. Personally, I dont care for their pizza but they are a good corporate citizen of this community, like it or not. I just checked their website and counted 32 LOCAL charity groups and other causes that recieve donations from them.

Thanks for your contribution, Jeff. For the record, they did NOT take money from Papa John's. I don't care for their pizza, either; however, they do hire local workers and they DO contribute to charities and the local community. I guess the folks that disparaged Sullivan earlier in the thread are too embarrassed to own their comments. That's a shame. I wish they were men enough to say "we were wrong".

Ohhhhh, I've got plenty I could say...but I learned a lonnnnng time ago (I think it was in a dive bar in Marseilles France) not to egg on a woman with her panties in a wad...particularly one that owns her own set of knives. Give it a rest Marsha...it was mostly a joke (Robin pretty much hit it spot on)...but if you INSIST I could kick it up a notch...or two). Just because you work somewhere (whether it's Cafe Lou-Lou or Sullivan or wherever it is this week) doesn't automatically give your employer a "get out of jail free" card.when it comes to criticism (lighthearted or not) People make light of things Marsha and the last time I checked the Bill of Rights "You Have the Right to Be Free From Criticism (humorous intent or not) was NOT one of these rights.

BTW, reference your Facebook post...to my knowledge none of the respondents ACTUALLY "Suck".

Balls in your court...We could let this thread die a natural death...or we can climb in the cage. Your call.

I wouldn't think of bashing Sullivan.

Papa John is another matter. What those commercials urge me to do, I haven't done since that errant bottle of Stoli in Slovakia back in '92.

Then again, I get all constipated when it comes to expressing my opinion.

Dont get too bitter, buds, let's just have fun with the debate!

There are two approaches to influence change- Yin and Yang. A good metaphor is to point to the samurai vs ninja dichotomy. The samurai would do thier work on the field of battle, in the light of day- for all to see. The ninja would do thier work with the cover of night- for noone to see. Truth be told, the ninja had the advantage of battle, because they chose when and where this would occur. The samurai was screwed, because all he could do was stand on that very battlefield, bow in hand.

So, how does one catch the ninja? When they work behind the scenes, pulling and thinly veiling insults from here to FB? We all have a modus operandi- a format that we follow, habitually. What's say we throw out a thinly-veiled insult of our own, and see if it comes out the other end? Like a charm, it worked brilliantly. Not in the way I expected, yet the vitriol was placed on a single word, 'ghey,' and that was to be the basis for a whole argument that I was bigoted.

Unfortunately, I am the most socially liberal person I guess one can be. Nah, in fact, I relish the depth and quality that my worldview has given me. My bestfriends have always come from radically different leanings than my own. One was a gay man (Robert-4 years.) One was African/Puerto Rican (Awuyale-6 years.) Another was Guyanese (Leon-8 years.) All much different than a hillybilly. I can talk to you, from a personal experience what Santaria means, share the concept of eating Thanksgiving dinner to Bob Marley and discuss the differences between the stratas of gay, fag and queen in the community (thier terms, not mine.) You never get this argument in my mind and the accusation is weak- sorry you didn't know me any better.

'I'm the first to give a hug and the last to let go.' So very true.

As per this debate. I defended Sullivan and it seems to me Steve was also following this thought. The commercial just struck him funny at the time- and he was feeling like being funny. I know, from experience that you are pulling a Stephen- that you looked to defend your house and maybe got too aggresive with it. You know I love you Marsha- I am just looking to affect change in your decision to slap us across the face on your FB page- or to use PM's as your method, either. It's easy to say 'prove it,' yet that is what the guilty say, when they know they have only been semi-busted.

Right back at ya Marsha...or did you forget your Facebook post...

"You weak sisters that post-and-run suck. You SUCK! You wouldn't know a good debate if it bit you right in the ass. I laugh in your general direction"

""I don't know where the rest of them are but I'm having a frosty beverage", sez they. Give me a break!"

Seeking out a debate for the sake of debate seems counterproductive to the normal goings-on of this forum.
Thinks the frosty mug is the low point in American history.
