But, while we are off on tangents, you still can't beat Danzig's work with the Misfits... Their first greatist hits CD was 24-25 songs, and was approximately 38-40 minutes long. Great average song length....

I believe I lost interest in Danzig with that ill-fated Classical music CD he put out at his peak of fame.... I just didn't understand that one at all.

i think i am entirely to blame for all those tangents...

Both Collection 1 & 2 are amazing.
Quintessential actually - and both of my copies turned up missing some time ago.

When it comes to Danzig... Samhain was good, the first two Danzig records were amazing (s/t and Lucifuge),
though i happen to love Todd Youth's guitar work (and tone!) on Danzig 7 - I Luciferi (the track 'Black Mass' is the perfect example), though the album otherwise is 'just okay' and kinda lackluster.

how about Danzig's damblings in industrial and (borderline) techno?
haha.

I assume you're referring to Black Aria on the classical comment. (where the liner notes read: 'this is not a rock record.')

Trolley Hop now equals Danzig conversation to me now...

I put vegetables in your desserts, white chocolate with your fish and other nonsense stuff that you think shouldn't make sense, but coax the nonsense into something that makes complete sense in your mouth. Just open your mind, mouth and eat.

My old roomate in college was a huge Danzig fan, and got me into them. I nailed him one time when I discovered a 'gem' from Danzig on the great 80's movie Less than Zero. Danzig doing 80's pop music, almost made him puke when he heard it.
