More importantly, are they going to be closed for a period of time, pending the transition?

They are shooting for July and will not be closed.

The move is complete. Same great food, but with fancy-new digs.

Great news! Any idea what in the heck happened, though? They were "shooting for July" and didn't make it until January? That's slow even by the usual standards of restaurant construction.

Nope, I didn't get around to asking, but the place looks fantastic. It is a drastic change from the old place.

We enjoyed carryout yesterday! LOL- didn't know the move had taken place. Now I understand that we're getting a Vietnamese eatery in their old place. YES YES YES!!

The story I heard was that the construction has been completed for awhile (August, I think) but they could not get the inspector to approve the new building... He apparently kept failing them for small items, and immediatley stopping the walkthrough.

I wonder if they didn't notice his hand was out ...

I'll have to disagree. I got pad thai on Wednesday and the price had gone up, the portion was smaller and the pad thai was just off. The noodles and the chicken were very chewy. The flavor and spice were right but it felt like it had been made an hour earlier and reheated.

Pad Thai w/ chicken #3 and Tod Mun Moo were both great as always. I think your right about the prices. I think Pad Thai w/ chicken was $8 and it is now $10. I didn't notice smaller portions.

I noticed higher prices and smaller portions tonight. I'd say I got 15-20% less food than before.
I am the original Mike G, never mind the impostor.

I am kind of a big deal.

I tried to get a carryout on Thursday but they told me it was going to be 40 min. I could not wait that long. The place looks great though. I hope they get back to their regular portions because those seemed just right.
