Thanks Terri.
We do wave the no cholesterol wand over each plate as it exits the kitchen, so you are fairly safe. LOL

I had a life insurance physical scheduled several years age. I had cleansed my body of all sorts of bad stuff in anticipation and then I really messed up and had a Hot Brown the night before the exam. Needless to say I had some elevated levels.

I must say that, since I work across the street from the Brown Hotel, I've had occasion to have the dish at J. Graham's for lunch....very nice indeed. and there is something about that place that I just love....it's called history....albeit removed a bit, it's still there.

Cheers!

I keep looking at the title of this thread and want to post...

Except I feel like James Woods (playing himself) on Family Guy. They trap him by laying out Reese's Pieces, ala E.T., until he is under the proverbial box-and-stick trap.

'Oooh! Piece of candy! Oooh! piece of candy! And on and on...'

It gets better- then they send him off to be analyzed 'by important men' (ahem- Indiana Jones, lol!)

Stick me in that box, give me a daily ration of hot browns- and I am the proverbial Hellboy- eating pounds upon pounds of the dish. I guess it should also be mentioned that I enjoy the company of felines, as well!

Nonetheless, each hot brown has it's own merit. For me, the question is one of atmosphere. What are you trying to tell your kin about Kentucky?

Will you:

Nod to the Landed Gentry? The Brown (go to page 178)

Nod to the Rural Sharecropper? Westport General Store (go to page 179)

Nod to the Urban Middle-Class? KT's/Austin's (go to page 180)

 8) :D
