Deb,

You and I don't disagree. Moving a place down your list is different from "I'll never go there again!" I wouldn't rush back, but I also wouldn't refuse to eat there if the opportunity presented itself.

It was the "never cross their threshold" mentality that I thought was extreme.

That's all I was saying.

I think we may be making a few incorrect assumptions here. Isn't it possible that Coco Lokos planned all along to be opened for Thunder but something unseen occurred to swing the decision back to
let's just go ahead and close" at the last , unforeseen minute? I know Rich hurt his hand last week and had to go to the hospital to have it seen to. We don't live in a perfect world and sometimes things happen.
As far as being opened or not for Thunder, I for one am happy to see them give their employees the day off so that they can enjoy the day with their families BEFORE the real Derby crush starts. Having been married to a restaurant manager for years I know how unhappy it is for a child to never see Thunder with Dad or Christmas Eve with Dad or any other other times we missed out gathering as a family because Dad had restaurant responsibilities to contend with. Yeah it goes with the business and all managers and personnel learn to deal with it but every once in a while you have to allow the families some time together.

Carla, I think you missed the point that most of us are making. We don't have a problem with a restaurant being closed for Thunder we only have a problem when there is no notifications. Just putting a very visible sign on the door is very simple and would not leave customers guessing!

There was a note on the door @ 1:15. I appreciate Carla's response as it makes me step back and consider this maybe was not a Thunder related closure. As I've stated previously, if it was a Thunder related closure, I'd expect more than the "emergency" note on the door.

I think the Havana note mentioned Thunder but I can't remember what the Cocos note said. Next time, I'll take a cellphone picture to prevent assumptions from forming.
