I had the pleasure of meeting Juan and trying Tacos Toreados for the first time today. I had a beef tongue taco and a chorizo quesadilla. Both were excellent, although I felt like something of a barbarian trying to devour quesadilla without silverware, as it was overflowing with delicious chorizo.

While we were sitting in my car eating, my friend and I couldn't help but postulate how many people would eat there if the taqueria was located in the parking lot at Mid City Mall by Baxter Avenue Theatres. I don't know if that could ever be worked out with the management there, but I can definitely see a crowd of people stumbling down from the strip of bars on Baxter for scrumptious tacos.

As an aside, we also stopped by Choi's market while we were there, and I picked up a box of century eggs. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Century_egg) The taste wasn't bad, but the texture of the 'yolk' was appalling. Apart from that poor gastronomic decision, the market was very well stocked and I also picked up some homemade kimchi. I highly recommend it as well.

Kinda as I stated. I hope to meet many more forumites there over the next few weeks and months. By the way, check out the grocery on whose lot Juan parks. It's really an Eastern Asian supermarket with an aisle of non-perishable Hispanic items. I picked up some really neat stuff there the other evening.
Great food along with great company is truly one of lifes best treasures.

I hope this is only temporary, Juan! Do you know which location you will be in when you re-open?

I love Paul's idea about Mid City Mall. Any reason you could not go there? It would be smash hit. I'm sure a place to park the trailer would be an issue, but please look into it. It could incredible explosure for you!

Mid City mall is well known for towing cars parked in their lot that don't patronize Mid City business's. I find it hard to believe they would allow Juan on the lot with a high price.

Besides I believe Juan lives in Lydon. I see the trailer parked at a house off Old LaGrange rd.
