Mac, I'm a little puzzled why you got the idea it wasn't on. There have been at least three ongoing discussions on the forum about it. That's how we communicate here. Sorry you can't make it, though.

Sorry , I have to cancel for the chicken and dumpling throwdown. I hadn't heard from anyone, so I assumed it was a no go? Just this morning I heard that its still on but, due to not having prep complete and working til 6 I will be unable to attend. I would love to participate in the next throwdown however. I really hate that I'm going to miss this throwdown. Sucks!

Thanks to all of the chefs who came out and participated tonight. All of the dishes were great.

Also, at the risk of miming David, thanks to Bret and Standard Country Club. The location was wonderful.

(Finally a very special thanks to Carolyne, who was kind enough to send me home with a bowl of her delicious chicken and dumplings!)

I want to echo the sentiments for Bret and the team at Standard Country Club for hosting this event. It was a great setting, I only wish we could have had another 50 people or so come to the event.

Had a very enjoyable time, all the chefs had wonderful chicken and dumplings in a very nice setting.
Look forward to the next throwdown.
