Chris- Dean told me he made sure the judging was blind so there would be no conflict of interests so possibly you could still enter.

Yes, Chris - please enter! He's only one of three judges, anyway. The more the tastier.

Ellen Gill McCarty of Science Hill catered our lunch at church today, so I brought her up to speed on the Shrimp and Critss throw down. She sounded interested and ask that I email her the details which I am getting ready to do.

All,

Here's the current list of confirmed entrants:

Cafe Lou Lou - St. Matthews
Westport General Store
Son of a Sailor
L & N Wine Bar & Bistro
Baxter Station
Captain’s Quarters
Windsor Restaurant
Shady Lane Cafe
Juleps Catering at Sullivan University
Dallas McGarity & Stephen D. ( Z Fusion)
And just got a message from Jack Fry’s - Shawn wants to compete too!

Still waiting on confirmation on Chef Howerton, but I expect that shortly...

What a great line-up! Let the contest begin!

Oooops. I neglected to include our own Dan Thomas of Big Springs Country Club on my list last night. My apologies, Dan. Mea Culpa. ( but I still like Nuschke's Applewood Smoked Bacon better than Father's  ).

I realize this has been discussed, but I just wanted to get a clarification on the date. Also, was it determined that CQ's would have the game on, and will they be open to regular business? Kitchen and everything? I have no issues with buying a ticket, but I'm not a seafood person. So I'd prefer to grab a sandwich or something while watching the game at the bar. Just want to make sure that is an option.

Scott, it's been moved to Feb. 9 to avoid the U of L/Connecticut game.

Their kitchen will be open the night of the contest( they are open 7 days a week) . So there'll be no problem buying one of their regular menu options.

( But you'll be missing out on some wonderful Shrimp & Grits  )
