Well fellers, we can turn it into a semantics slag-fest if you want. Idiocracy is synonymous with idiosyncrasy. So "prophets of piddling idiosyncrasy".... I dunno... if that means something I don't know what.

Well that settles that. Now we need another topic for Shane to grab hold of and not let go.

Thanks Will! I could always describe the time my wife and I had a meal at your restaurant. Or perhaps you could find something else to do besides worrying about Shane?

I'm fine with this settlement. No harm no foul?

I'm sure it would be a thorough description.

I just find your attacks on Dan and Rob to be a bit over the top. No civility at all.

Fair enough Will. To the extent that I have been uncivil to anyone, I do apologize. I think there has been some tit for tat between Dan and I but we are big boys used to playing in a Type A world. I think Dan held his own just fine though and I hope he holds no personal animus towards me.

I found Rob's comments in this thread judgmental and unfounded but I didn't respond until he made similar statements in Steve's thread. What crossed the line for me were is comments to Stephen.

So, I'm not excusing myself for being uncivil here but my remarks were directed to someone in particular. Speaking directly is a peculiarity of my personal style. An idiosyncrasy if you will. Most of my criticisms were for how things were being said - not what was being said.

If you put "I feel or I think" in front of most comments then they mostly become unassailable. If you represent your feelings or opinions as obvious facts and then deride those who don't agree with you then you will likely find me in opposition.

So, am sorry that you find my personality to be unpleasant. I have no problem with you telling me so and will make an effort to curb my temperament when possible .

I am a fan of being direct and I will respond to you much better than when you are snidely talking about me in front of me. Cheers Will!

Shane is in Time Out now too, but for him I hold open the possibility of repentance.

It's just a bummer....there are some that forget....while pointing their finger at YOU.....they have three fingers pointing back at them (I'll wait, while you play it out literally with your own hand).

I go away for a few minutes, and see what happens?

Most of us have experienced a past episode on this board during which we just couldn't let go. I've been on both sides of it, and ten to view it as part of the game.

Let us retreat to the shade, enjoy a special session strength ale (ungespundet would be nice, hand-pumped perhaps better), and return freshened and renewed.

I can't tell you how disappointed I am in this forum!

Over 100 some-odd replies to this, and nobody, NOBODY realizes that the kerfuffle over all the sixes and nines was foretold by the prophet Jimi Hendrix in the year 1967.

And it is spake once again on the Tube that is You. Dig.

Jeez, a dude can't take a vacation without this place going to heck in a handbasket.

That was the first thing I thought as well.
Next Magic Hat will will christen a Merman Ale. Then West Sixth will produce a 1983 Ale and the whole mess will start over again...
