Yes, yes he is...and as is his right and privilege...Robin is waiting for someone to step up to the plate and say "pick me-pick me...I'll organize the offline". My vote would be for a person...preferably someone quite new to the area who probably wants to keep his organizational skills honed to a razors edge. Hmmmmmm, do we have any likely candidates ? Let me ponder

Thanks for the ADA cite *and* for moving on, Gary.

I'll start a new thread when I find out for sure whether Village Anchor is comfortable about accommodating a group our size this early in their journey.

I'm quite sure that those of you worried about your rights being infringed upon would feel differently if it was someone you love who was killed by a drunk driver. I pray none of you have to go through the anguish Dylan's family and my best friend's family have had to go through. If you can look yourself in the eye and say that being inconvenienced at a traffic stop is more of a hardship on you, than losing a family member is to these victim's families, perhaps you're a better person than I.

FWIW, a very dear and close friend was run over and killed by a speeding drunk driver while crossing a crosswalk in downtown Lexington a few years ago. It was tragic and senseless. That being said, I'm still stringently opposed to DUI checkpoints, and feel strongly that they are an encroachment on our rights.
