Thank you veterans for your service

by John Hagan » Wed Nov 11, 2009 12:39 pm

Just wanted to say thanks to our former and current service women and men.
The tall one wants white toast, dry, with nothin' on it.
And the short one wants four whole fried chickens, and a Coke.

Need a good cry? Watch these videos of Iraq war veterans or active duty soldiers coming home to their sweet doggies. Warning: and entire box of tissues might be warranted.

Doggies are so loyal and so loving. *snif*

Yes, HUGE thanks to all of our servicemen and women are in order. Thank you for everything you do for our country!

**I saw Marsha's videos. Good luck making it through those without crying. Makes me want to go home and hug my big furry babies.

Many thanks to all who served or are currently serving and their families for the freedoms we enjoy.

I was young, not particularly poor, and not really as stupid as I acted, but ended up deciding to take a year off college at a very bad time, and ended up avoiding Army grunt service by sneaking into the Air Force at the last possible moment, ended up working as a PR guy in Southern Idaho during the Vietnam Unpleasantness. I got a free trip to Vietnam for a monthlong project on a safe air base but never had to go into combat, and really never felt I did anything that anybody ought to thank me for.

I just wanted to pipe up to thank all of you who have served our country, and offer a moment of silence for those who are no longer with us.
