FYI,

I picked up a full Brooklyn Style from Boombozz Taphouse Friday night for carryout...so I guess they offer it now all the time! :D

It was very good, too. Even had a little char on the bottom...

Have been wanting to try this place, but the cheese fritters just may have urged me to get there sooner! Amerigo's used to make a cheese fritter appetizer that was incredible, too bad they are all closed :( Will be some hard choices, most of those things sound pretty good!

Luckily, we only live 5 blocks or so, so its an easy walk/drive, though our patronage of Boombozz has slipped considerably since delivery stopped and our patronage of Za's has increased greatly.

Thought you guys might be further enticed by seeing some photos that Robert took of the new menu items after creating them. :)

Same here.

That makes three of us. I used to order Boombozz almost exclusively but, since the change, I've ordered at least a half dozen pizzas from other highlands places that do deliver and had carryout from the Taphouse once.

Picked up some carry-out slices of the Brooklyn Pie today.

My verdict: The slices are huge. I called ahead, so I didn't know quite how big they were. It tastes very good. However, it is not quite what I think of as New York (or New Jersey) pizza. The edge of the crust is too thin (not the big doughy edge that I think of as NYC style)--the only problem that causes is the crust tends to break into a V instead of folding. In addition, the coating of parmesan, et al, seasoning makes it taste like Tony Boombozz pepperoni on a thin crust more than NYC pepperoni.

Yeah it must be terrible for those of you near a Boombozz to be there in 5 minutes and pick up your pie as opposed to those of us who would have to drive 25 minutes one way to get Boombozz :P
I am the original Mike G, never mind the impostor.

I am kind of a big deal.

Ha - well, yes, it could be worse, but as far as eating pizza in the home goes, I prefer having it brought my way.
