Thoughts of Sandra Lee

by Steve P » Thu Oct 08, 2009 1:54 pm

Ever run out of conversation items while dining at one of L'villes' finest ? How about Sandra Lee.

From the web...

"Everyone knows Sandra Lee is crazy. Even Alton Brown, the patron saint of homemade slow cookers, just referred to her as “semi-sane, semi-out of her mind.” Scientists and food bloggers have been unable to pinpoint the exact cause of her insanity. That is, UNTIL NOW. Thanks to advancements in [insert fake scientific term here], we’ve been able to map out this detailed reconstruction of Aunt Sandy’s brain. Hopefully, it will prove useful in all of your future Food Network viewing endeavors. Enjoy".

Apparently the Food Network was trying to figure out a way to prop up Sandra Lee's ratings...Taking some lessons from Guy Fieri and "Triple D" they think they've hit on the answer.

Getting Married ? Sandra has the answer to that pesky question about how to afford the cake. (Link provided if someone needs the "recipe".

I''ll see Steve's Sandra, Michelle's Rachel, and raise you both Giada. She scares the living shit out of me.

Ya know...Rachel gets on my nerves a bit but I'd be willing to bet there are more than a few "closet" Rachel fans out there. MOF I'd bet our old friend Doogie has a shrine to her in his kitchen and lights several candles for special episodes.

Melissa d'Arabian seems like she might someday enjoy a a pretty high "finger nails on the blackboard" factor. We'll have to wait and see.

Be neat to have a poll on just who IS the most and/or least popular Food TV Chef and/or show.

1. I was assuming you watched it on mute, but then you mentioned her diction. So I was wrong.

2. How does someone have such a big head on such a small body?

3. If enthusiasm is your thing, she's got plenty to go around.

Matthew,

You sure that's her head your looking at ?

OK, OK...I'll grant you that, she does have a big head...a really big head...but don't you think things kind of balance out nicely in the long run ? I mean unlike Sandra, Giadia can actually cook. I dunno. It's probably me.

I don't think it was as much a back alley thing that got Sandra Lee on TV as much as it was the stack of pictures she has of Ted Allen and Bob Tuschman dressed in rubber suits frolicking freely with a bunch of Chimpanzee-Minkies. I'm sure the two of them believe keeping pictures like that off the internet is worth destroying a formerly good network for. Can't say I blame the woman...TV gigs are hard to come by, even bad ones.

She sounds/talks like my daughters...it's called "burst communication". Still, it's pretty dang funny. No wait, it's really really funny.

We were at the Tap Room(clay and main) one night and Giada was on the TV. There were about 7 or 8 guys watching the show and drinking brew. At one point Anne said something about Giada having a big head,at that point there was a collective "she does?" from the group. I guess those guys were to busy watching her"cooking skills" to notice.
The tall one wants white toast, dry, with nothin' on it.
And the short one wants four whole fried chickens, and a Coke.

In that second video clip posted earlier, there's a shot of Giada reclining. She's very pretty but (perhaps because I'm a female) I couldn't help noticing the GINORMUS FEET she has! OMG what are those, 10 1/2s?
