A brand new mobile cafe is available for purchase. This unit is 7 X 10 feet, fully equipped , has A/C , and is great looking . The owner acquired it for a venture and elected to not pursue. Asking price of $59,000 and pics and specs are available .

Interesting sounding combination! I'll take two orders of each to go.

Marsha

Dessert trucks are the rage in NYC (see "dessert truck" and "treats truck"). Would LOVE for you to import the idea here - I can just see fresh Lemon Sunshine slices from the truck down at St. James or competing with the ice cream vendors in Cherokee Park. Yum.

Sheila - thanks.

I miss making that cake :( But I'm in no one's wildest dreams even close to being able to afford a truck like that. *sigh*

Is it made out of gold?

That's a whole lot of hamburgers, tacos, hot dogs, fries, gyros, bbq or whatever it's going to be used for.

avg ticket $8 (high for a mobile), food costs 24% = $6.08. Of course that doesn't include any other costs so of course there will be other things. But assume you keep all costs to 40% which is conservative.

A 60% profit on each order would be $4.80.

That's 10,208 orders to cover the cost of mobile cafe.

Over 2yrs that 15 orders a day and the cost is covered.

Over the next 2yrs at the same rate of orders (10,208) you'd make a profit of $48,998 ($24,449/yr).

And that's figured on 15 orders a day, 7 days a week.

Too risky for me but I did consider the numbers!

Mark,

I am giving serious thought to purchasing a concession trailer but in all honesty the price for the one you are selling/consigning is way out of line. Not to be flippant but why would I buy that teeny little trailer for 39K when I could buy this hog NEW for around 22K. Just sayin'. P.M me if you come across something a little bigger and a little less expensive.

Wow..You were asking 60 grand for that thing to start with?
cuppysPic.JPG

Even fully equipped to do whatever it is that thing was designed for(I think Coffee and Smoothies), on a 7x10 trailer that makes it a whopping $842.85 per square foot. That's higher than New York City rent. I'm not seeing even close to your asking price now from that photo. Heck, I could either open a place and keep it going for at least 3 months or I could buy a used step van or RV and outfit it for hot food service myself for that much.
