Well what?
Hes open now.
from the web site.
Tons and tons of people showed up Friday, August 14th, 2009 for our first night.

...and even more showed up for our second night, Saturday, August 15th, 2009.

Before you come out, please read all of the following articles on our website:

* Business Hours - Do you know when to come?
* Dining Policy - Do you know all the policies and procedures?
* Door Policy - Do you know how to get in at what times?
* Map and Directions - Do you know where we are and how to get there?
* Rules - Very, very important.

Once you read those articles above, you'll know us a lot better and have a lot, lot of fun! Trust us!

Tons of beer is cold and available (and no, not everything is cold)!

Food wise, wontons are available.

Give us a call - (502) 618-BEER.

And from the website "the dining policy"

This article will include information regarding:

1. Beer
2. Beer Reservations
3. Payment Methods Accepted
4. Rules of The Game
5. Seating Reservations
6. Smoking
7. Tabs
8. Additional Information

I try to get over there before the offline and see about the menu. From what I saw on the site it only looks like wontons at the moment. At the Shelbyville location the wontons were filled with a cream cheese chille mix with a chille oil on top.
Looks to be pay as you go,no tabs.
Check out the website, youll need to read all the "rules" before you go.

And the short one wants four whole fried chickens, and a Coke.

From Sergio's Website:

Payment Methods Accepted

Currently, we only accept cash. Also, we do not have change. We will update this as we hear back from our credit card company.

Seems like one thing to not be setup for credit cards or not want to run credit cards. Seems another issue to not want to break my $20. Obviously he has change, as he is collecting singles and fives from everyone! Then with not allowing tabs, is he going to want to run my card (when the CC is up and running) 4, 6, 8 times? I'm bummed to hear no CCs at the moment, as I'm using mine alot while I wait for some reimbursement money from UL to make its way to my account.

Having met Sergio, I'm fully aware of his eccentric personality. I do think the tone of his website could be a little more gregarious.

This is just one of the reasons I like Sergios.

I was planning on making a visit, but after reading his email/website I am thinking otherwise. There are plenty of fine beer drinking establishments in the Metro area that don't speak to their customers like children. Advertising no tabs, credit cards, or change is not a great way to promote the opening of a business.

It looks like they are having trouble with their credit card processing company getting things set up in their new building. I know that if I ran a bar, and did not have credit card processing, I would not let people run a tab, so that they did not run out of cash before paying for all their drinks. I'm sure once they get credit cards running in the new place, then they will allow tabs. I know they let you run a tab in the other location. As for the change comment, I can only hope that is a joke, though a rather poor one.

I agree. I suppose one would have to show up with a roll of quarters and one dollar bills in order to pay correctly.

I don't mind the cash only.

I agree - cash only until the credit card option is worked out is perfectly understandable (or even cash only, forever, if the vendor decides to forgo credit card processing entirely), but - no change? Suicide.
