I'm hearing the Goose Creek location will be open shortly (2-3 weeks).

Finally. I knew they were actually still working on it unbelievably. This will please me at work.
I am the original Mike G, never mind the impostor.

I am kind of a big deal.

The kitchen exhaust company just finished, the electricians are finishing up and the inspectors are roaming around.

Just called the Baxter location, they say they are opening within a month.

I've notice activity there lately but having seen it before didn't get much hope up. This is Great News! No matter how good Boombozz NY style ends up to be it will be hard to keep me from Spinelli's!

Update:

Kitchen hood test was done today. I'm being told 2 weeks until del. and takeout are available. They are in the process of installing a subway car for the dining room.

Does this kind of thing actually work to draw in customers? It just seems like an unnecessary expense?

I always thought the Lincoln Continental booth in the Baxter Spinelli's was kind of cool.

A genuine NYC subway car might not be worth a special trip for me, but I would enjoy seeing it if I was going to be there anyway ...

If I had an old Lincoln or Subway Car for every time I've heard or read that this place was going to 'open in about two weeks' I'd have enough inventory to open the Louisville Pizza and Transportaion Museum!

Having said that, if it ever opens, my daughter and I will be there regularly I'm sure.

Ooh, I'd eat there! 8) Really, if they get a subway car, it could be fun to have a few beers to sit there repeatedly muttering "Watch for da closin' doors" in one's best faux Queens or Brooklyn accent ...

As long as it didn't smell like some of the seedier portions of the New York subway system it would be fun!

I drove by today. There was a sign on the door that said they HOPE to be open on Friday, October 9th. This East-ender hopes so, too.

I drove by today, and in giant red letters it said "open 11 am to 5 am." I guess they're hoping for bar business, but I don't think there are any out there. I'll be happy when it opens; it's near some relatives.
