ADMIN: If the forum changes overnight, don't panic!

by Robin Garr » Mon Mar 16, 2009 8:26 pm

:)

Seriously, Mary is still working on a project that should lead eventually to more stylistic and functional integration between the LouisvilleHotBytes.com review pages and the forum pages. This may mean that at any given time you may log in to the forum to find new colors, logos and designs.

Be assured, however, that basic forum functions will NOT change - you won't be lost - and if you think anything looks a little wacky, don't worry about it too much, as this is all a work in progress. At the end of the road, we hope this thing will look a little more uniform, maybe a little more modern, and if all goes well, erm, "self-supporting."

Stick with us!

Go ahead and change away Robin, we'll still be here. Maybe a little more frustrated or exasperated but what else is new, we get that way sometimes in threads. Besides if we can survive the changes to Facebook we can survive most anything!

Self supporting is a geat thing! As always we owe you a great deal of thanks, Robin for this great resource. Not only do we have a great restaurant town but the best forum to accent it all.

I will echo Ed on this...thanks Robin for very well run forum. Maybe this would be a good time to pull those links for places that are no longer in business.

And the short one wants four whole fried chickens, and a Coke.

Yep, a painstaking cleanup of the hard-to-keep-up restaurant lists is very much on the agenda, John. Thanks to all for your patience and understanding!

I don't know if it fit is related to the changes in any way, but my page load times on the forum seem much slower than usual today.

I would guess that's random, Clay. I'm not seeing it over here, and the changes have to do with styles and colors, not anything "under the hood." Anyone else seeing unusual slows? Also, what browser and operating system are you using?
