Sweet !!!....Nice to see they appear to be planning to serve "malt" beverages.

I can walk here and burn off (some) of the calories!

Anybody have an idea which space? I would have thought the former BW3 space but it has no patio and the Homemade Pie former space isn't " close to Tumbleweed". There's also the former Pizza Box location in the other strip mall.

Hello To All:
I was hoping to get a little closer to opening day before word got out and wanted to make an official statement. Yes we are opening at Springhurst and yes it is the old Homemade Pie space. We do not have an official opening day as of yet but are hoping for mid November. I will keep everyone posted when we get closer to opening. Thank you for your support!

I saw this on Facebook last night and was beyond thrilled! We get to the Highlands location every 2 weeks for our NY pizza fix - this is going to seriously dent my diet!

Thanks, Steve! I had no idea ( though I could walk there if I really wanted)- I've been totally avoiding shopping areas...

I -HAD- to be in the Springhurst area this afternoon and popped in for a slice and a beer. As a -mild- criticism, The room (as one might expect) is pretty "strip mall-ish" but otherwise it's Paplinos...Same great pie we've all come to know and love. I think I counted 14 bar stools/seats and 14 or 15 tables, a mixture of high tops, low boys and booths. The beer list borders on outstanding...(I think it was) 6 taps, all craft or craft-like beer, same with the bottled selection - 30-some bottles, virtually all of them worthy. Will definitely be holding court here at least once a week for the foreseeable future.

Stopped in for dinner with my son before a movie at Tinseltown. Pizza was superb. I had a slice with caramelized onions and garlicky spinach. Service was also top notch. Waiter said they will start delivery service in about a month. So glad they opened in the east end of town.

So, Papalino's said they closed the Cardinal Towne location because they weren't doing as much late-night business as they thought they would, not enough to make it profitable.

Is a strip-mall location way out in the burbs likely to be much different?

Big difference between the UofL location and this one. There is tons of traffic out this way in the evening. Tinseltown Movie theatre is right there and the density of homes is pretty high. They should do really well.

Jeff,
We closed the Cardinal Blvd. location for multiple reasons. Night time business and weekend business being a big factor as well as being promised to be put on the student meal plan and that never happened. Our format out in the east end is a little different than our format in Highlands, we have an expanded menu, table service, & a full bar. We are able to seat a lot more people as well. We offer the same great pizza as our Highlands location, 18", by the slice, and the addition of a 12" pie and a variety of appetizers, salads, & desserts. We will also offer daily pasta and panini / sandwich specials.

Thanks,
Allan Rosenberg
