old hags? is there a law against this?

i was browsing craigslist this evening and came across this gem of an ad. i guess i'm glad i'm not desperate enough to take a job working for this guy. google search says that vito's is located at 1919 s. preston.

Jesse, yes there is a law against discriminating against people over 40, but he probably doesn't meet the minimum standard for number of employees.

I miss the old B&B bar that was there for eons before Vito's moved in.

I don't know. I've had to work with some old hags before and it is miserable. I think a hag-free environment might be desirable.

I agree, but I wonder if there is a typo here. Maybe they just want to convert Vito's from a pizzeria into a Scottish place, and they're looking for some old haggis.

Wouldn't it be fun to bombard this dude with phone calls asking if he still needs to fill the 'old hag' position? Or say that you aren't an old hag but might he consider hiring a wench, or maybe an old bag? What about an old broad? Is he hiring for an old broad?

You might want to reconsider what might be fun in this situation.

I don't think you can automatically assume that the ad was placed by the restaurant owner himself, and not by some internet prankster or disgruntled ex-employee. As far as I know, there is no fact-checking of ads on Craigslist, and since they're free anybody can post practically anything.
