I guess I can see Matthew's point. Superbowls tend to be blowouts for some reason. This has been one of the best playoffs ever though, so maybe the Superbowl will live up to its billing this year.

Was that his point? I thought he was just being vague and snarky(not that that isn't his right)
The last 4 Superbowls have been competitive, with 3 being downright exciting almost start to finish.
Plus, Superbowl 42, possibly the greatest Superbowl of all time.(sorry)

Dude, the Super Bowl -is- America...I mean a game of football combined with two weeks worth of cheap pageantry and commercial excess. What's not to love ?

I like football. I don't like the other stuff (halftime show, commercials, extra pomp and circumstance, etc.) I don't like that the commercials are extra long, as is the halftime show. I don't like how non-football fans at parties make comments about football when they are a johnny-come-lately to the football party (no pun intended). Given that all the other stuff is made out to be more important than the game itself, I, in turn, don't like the Super Bowl.
If I actually like football - which I actually do - why would I subject myself to the Super Bowl?

I don't get involved in the chain/local, craft/megabrew, democrat/republican, homosexual/chicken debates, but my emotions run high around football.

I'm not usually a Giants fan (unless they are playing the Cowgurls)...but having grown up in Canton Ohio...AND having had 2 members of the Cleveland Browns as me pee-wee football coaches (Sam Houston and Bill Glass)...AND loathing only former Browns owner and Ratbird turncoat Art Modell worse than (former Browns coach) Bill Belichick...I am therefore for this game and this game only a HUGE Giants fan.Did ya'll follow that
