Next offline?

by Jackie R. » Mon Jan 02, 2012 11:08 pm

Hello friends!

Wanna do an offline soon? Any ideas?

If I had to toss a few out, I'd probably say:

Hillbilly Tea

Roots

Theatre Square

Vietnam Kitchen

Simply Thai

NABC

Gary's

... Just a few thoughts...

I was going to talk to them at Coals about doing when there now that they have the new room open upstairs. What's anybody think about that idea?

I'd be up for David's Vietnam Kitchen suggestion (been too chicken to try it on my own) and I'm still waiting to try Coals, so either one would be great to me!

I am new to Louisville, so I would love to join in on a foodie get together! And Coals sounds interesting, definitely. My last home was St. Louis, and finding decent pizza was tough. I had my few places, but Louisville is seeming to be a much better pizza town, from what I can tell.

My daughter went last week with friends and loved it. I've been but 15 years ago.

Nothing says we can't have offlines at Coal's AND Vietnam Kitchen. I love both places, and given a week's recovery time, I'd be happy at either.

We would love to host all of you at Coals! The room is finished so it would be a treat to have our first real party! Check out our video. It will show the second floor which looks like a mini-me version of the first floor.

I'll start discussing ideas with Coals, I'm not sure what evening were work best for them to do it when they are not totally swamped downstairs. Maybe Sunday evening about 6:00, but I'll discuss it with them and get back to everyone.

As far as food, I was thinking of doing it fixed price that included appetizers, salad, pizzas and probably desert. That way everyone could taste several different appetizers and pizzas instead of just ordering one. I'm thinking that doing it this way would also make it much easier for their staff since they would have to worry about individual orders except for drinks. If they wanted they could also will experiment with some different pizzas.

I'm in for either place- a VK hotline will help me over my south end aversion (no offense intended here- bad high school experience).
Is Coals open on Sun? I thought they were closed- they certainly look it when I pass by..
