Vote for Louisville!

by Mark R. » Fri Dec 23, 2011 2:44 pm

Just a reminder that voting opened today in the Southern Living Tastiest Town contest! In early voting Louisville in fourth place but way behind the leader.

Here's where to vote: Southern Living Tastiest Town

I'll vote, but I have to say it: If this is just a ballot-stuffin', then it don't mean nuthin'. We already know we rule!

That's what it certainly is! We just need to prove that Louisville is as good a ballot stuffing as anyone else!

It rejects a second vote in one day.

However you can vote each day.

There's at least a few cities on that list I know we're better than, starting with Houston.
Thinks the frosty mug is the low point in American history.

Maybe I need to invest in a new map. I didn't know Baltimore was a Southern City.

Baltimore and Louisville are very much alike in that regard. Both are major cities in border states that did not secede during the Civil War but that sometimes effect a southern accent in modern times.

Maryland is south of the Mason-Dixon line. Gives Baltimore a "traditional" Southern claim.

Robin.....Your statement on succession during the Civil War is accurate, but over simplifies Maryland's Civil War involvement.

I was a history professor prior to my current job and can say "What is the South?" was always among the most thought provoking discussions my classes ever had.

I love discussing Southern religion, Southern "State of Mind", Southern politics, Civil War allegiances...but to simplify it, if you are a 3.5 hour drive from New York City, you "ain't" in the South.

Dang ! The ballot stuffing is becoming intense...As of about 5 minutes ago Lafayette was leading Louisville 11'794 to 11'471. Charlottesville was a distant 3rd with 5517. BTW, if anyone is really serious stuffing the ballot box, you can vote more than once a day if you use a different email address.

I'm a proud Louisvillian and we have absolutely wonderful eating establishments. However, I don't gain weight here, but gain weight whenever I visit New Orleans......just sayin'! :)

I'm surprised that NOLA is so far down the list.

Considering the state is the murder capital of the country, this homie ain't gonna be the one to stir their pot.

I must say I'm a bit surprised they could muster this many votes...I had no idea their were that many people in Louisiana who could read, write or operate a computer.
