I'm thinkin' that maybe if a million Dads did a little better job of keeping these million Moms a little <eh-hem> "busier" around the house they wouldn't have the TIME to bitch about stuff like ICE CREAM.

"Not everyone finds Ben & Jerry’s new “Schweddy Balls” flavored ice cream tasteful.

Conservative group One Million Moms finds the new flavor offensive and is calling for a boycott.

“The vulgar new flavor has turned something as innocent as ice cream into something repulsive,” the group, an offshoot of American Family Association, stated on its website. “Not exactly what you want a child asking for at the supermarket.”

The limited-batch ice cream flavor released recently was inspired by a “Saturday Night Live” skit of the same name...."

I've been to two stores so far looking for it! Guess I'm not a good mom for wanting to buy it (if anyone sees it, let me know).

They had it at the Highlands Kroger yesterday.

I dunno, they really missed their chance to do this up right back in the day when south park had pretty much the same joke. It just feels tacked on, too little, too late at this point.

Wasn't it resurrected more recently as a Saturday Night Live skit about a couple of clueless brothers named Schweddy who owned a bakery and offered this specialty?

I agree that the opposition is over the top, although I'm not sure I'm right there with Steve on his solution.

Clueless, yes, but if I remember Alex Baldwin played Mr. Schweddy as a guest on the NPR Cooking Show (as parody on Sat PM Live).

....Well the "Moms" musta got to 'em out here in Garage Logic. I checked the Wally-World AND the Hillbilly Kroger today and no B&J Schweddy Balls Ice Cream. Gonna check the Anchorage Kroger and maybe Meijer tomorrow. If no luck at either of those places I'll likely have to push the once-a-month-inside-the-Watterson-trip up a week or so.

I find it hilarious. Lighten up people. If you don't like it don't buy it. It's that simple.

I think this will be a case of any press is good press for B&J. The moms can complain, it's just gonna make more people look for it! I know I'll be checking the ice cream aisles tomorrow!

If you are like me and like to check out the funky new flavors B&J does, save yourself a trip to Target (can only get it there)...their tiramisu ice cream is blech!

Not all moms are humorless warriors for Christ, or whatever they're calling themselves.
I'll not really interested in the ice cream, but if they get all in a tizzy because of the word balls, it's a wonder they managed to become moms in the first place. Balls, sweaty or otherwise, seem pretty much a prerequisite to making those kids they're so worried about.

Yeah. People need to get a grip. I think it's funny as hell! If you're that easily offended, you need to stay in your house and never leave. Seriously.

Anyone know who's carrying this now. Having some people over Sunday and thought they might enjoy some schweddy balls! Don't want to have to hunt all over creation for it though. Thanks
