Thanks, Justin - I've left three messages, but he hasn't returned my calls. Any other ideas? Nancy

You might find it hard to get one of the local restaurant supply places to install it for you since they more than likely didn't sell it to you. I would try a local HVAC company that deals with commercial installation.

That really doesn't resolve the rudeness issue of ignoring sincere calls, though.

My husband works for Project Heating and Cooling in Middletown and I know they have done hood installation in the past because they did all heating/air/ventilation/hood at the BW3's in Shelbyville Road plaza. Granted, that was a larger job and new construction, but it would definitely be worth a phone call to see if they would do a stand-alone hood install.

On a personal note - they better say YES! lol....

Thankyou Robin and Heather. Funny thing about the rudeness - I am going to have to purchase equipment and guess where I won't go. Nancy

Very sad and strange to see. I deal with these guys on a weekly basis and they always are super nice and seem to be on top of it. Who the hell knows? I believe one of LHB's members works for them.

Really, Robin, were you there? Do you know the facts of the situation, time frame, conversations that did occur? Do you personally know the principles involved? Really?

You must have those facts lined up to make a characterization of rudeness on one side and sincerity for another, right?

Sigh.

There were no conversations! The calls are not either returned! That is certainly qualifies as being rude for a business!

Guess the facts are not important. There were conversations. When you were there Mark, let me know. Because I was. :)

Well maybe since Nancy, the OP says that phone calls were not returned maybe you should discuss the issue with her. She obviously feels very hurt by the fact that calls were not returned and in my opinion that certainly classifies as rudeness! Businesses need to make the customer feel appreciated even if the work they're discussing is not within the businesses normal scope. If they don't they hurt future business, that's a fact of life in the business world!

FAILED TO RETURN THREE CALLS? That doesn't leave much wiggle room. It's not that hard to call back and say, "Sorry, we don't do individual work, but thanks for calling."

Calm yourself, Reagan. Use your indoor voice.

No arguments about customer service here Mark! :D I agree with your sentiment, just wish that sentiment was related to the application of the facts. As I am the only one here who did speak with the OP, I ask respectfully (again) that those without first hand knowledge refrain from judgement and the oh too familiar name-calling. It would be a shame, oh hell, too late... I was there, you were not. Please stop preaching at me.

Robin,

refrain from telling me what voice to use, when you use all caps. I think I am pretty calm, until I am told what to do... That is rude.

I ask you again, do you have any first hand knowledge that a journalist must have before making such characterizations of "rude" or "sincere"? What exactly are you trying to achieve? Other than the last word?

As I said to Mark, I was there, you were not, and I wish you would stop judging out of hand. Don't understand how that is so hard to grasp, without taking offense. These are people's livelihoods you are pontificating with.
