Local food trucks: Here's a Twitter list

by Robin Garr » Sat Jun 18, 2011 5:03 pm

I've set up a Twitter list of all the Louisville food trucks I can find on Twitter. You can bookmark this link and click it any time to find where they are and what they're up to. (Only El Rumbon is missing - the Twitter account El Rumbon seems to be something else entirely. If any of you know Reinhold and can find out if he Tweets his whereabouts, let me know and I'll add him to the list.

The link doesn't show anything except a log in page for me. I haven't tried to log in (I have an account that I created a couple of yrs ago, but haven't used it since). I think you mentioned in the other thread that you don't have to have an account? I'll try to log in and look at it anyway, but just thought I should submit an FYI that I can't see anything by just clicking on the link you posted.

I get "Sorry that page doesn't exist". I have an active account. Maybe my iPhone is not as smart as yours.

I think it only works from a desktop, which is stupid. When we go there with a smartphone or iPad, Twitter insists on throwing us into the mobile view, which breaks the link.

I'll try to work on it tomorrow, but meanwhile, try it from a desktop or laptop if you can.

Thanks, Jackie. I worked from an article on creating Twitter lists that claimed people wouldn't have to log in if I made it "Public" (which I did), but they were evidently lying. You do need to log in to Twitter, and you need to do it from a regular computer, not a smartphone or tablet.

I'm sorry, I thought this would work better than it did. :( But when you can get to it, it's still great, because it assembles all the food-truck tweets on one link and makes it easy to find out where they all are. :)

I'm sure it's okay to speak for everyone and say thanks for doing that, Robin. Yet again, you rule. Happy Father's Day, food dad!

Don't call me "food dad"! 8)

Meanwhile, I've added HolyMoletruck to the feed. Sorry about the initial omission.

"Food Dad" it is, then. I think it's respectful and it shows a little bit of my homage. After all, I love my dad, I love food, and I love you.
