Peeps

Anyplace in the area where I can get certified cage-free, organic, hormone free Peeps? I need them by Sunday morning.
Thanks in advance

You can only get them at your Unionized Independent grocer.

Sorry...can't help. I used my last dozen for Catfish bait last night. BTW, any idea how a guy goes about putting them on the hook without them making all that noise ?

Megan-
That's a great idea. Why didn't I think of that? I also suspect that next year I'll be able to pick some up at Trader Joes.

In all seriousness, I wish they made vegetarian peeps.

In this particular instance (correct me if I'm wrong) I don't think Bill would have an issue with the particular grocery store being unionized...Provided either the hen or the rooster (preferably both) who produced said "peeps" was a card carrying (AFL-CIO) union member.

I guess this is a bad time to note I place them in the microwave and watch them blow up.

Are you sure the -old- Iron Chef series didn't do it ? God knows they've cooked everything else under the sun.

I officially "suspend" the vegetarian rules for Peeps. Its allowed. Page 146, Paragraph B, Section 27, Subsection iii of the Vegetarian Handbook.

Wrapped in bacon and grilled is good, so are peeps in the micro. However, with all the discussion lately about artisan pizza, I decided to try my hand at Peep-za.
