This is going to be a great time...We're looking forward to seeing old friends and making new ones.

When purchasing tickets your email confirmation is your "ticket". If for some reason you are not able to print your receipt, no worries...We will also have a list of ticket holders at the door.

In addition to the Chowder Throwdown, we'll also be doing a simple raffle for a number of restaurant gift certificates. You can purchase these raffle tickets at the door. (Any owner/GM who would like to donate a gift card can P.M. me and we'll make sure we get in to pick up your donation)

Gonna be a good one...See ya'll there.

It's such a bummer that I will be flying back from Seattle and will miss this! On the bright side, I will have a belly full of oysters, salmon and crab, so I'll be on the same wavelength as you all!

Ticket sales for "The Rumble at the River" - A Seafood Chowder Throwdown have been steady but there ARE still plenty of tickets left. Please give serious consideration to attending this event and supporting such a wonderful cause. The Hope Center for Growth is a LOCAL camp for Autistic Children. ALL of the proceeds...every single dime...will stay right here in our community. Again...The date is Monday March 21st at 6:30pm at the Captains Quarters on River Rd. Gonna be an AWESOME time.

Please help us to get "the word" out on this awesome event...copy the link for ticket sales and/or the Facebook page for this event and post it on your Facebook Profile. Lets take this "Viral" :D

Just bought ours last night. Really looking forward to it. Love seafood chowder and excited about the chefs, it's a great cause, and I'll take any excuse to head down to the river and CQ.

I've got two for Mary and me, plus a modest additional contribution. Judges don't get in free ... this is about a cause!

Will there be posters of the event like the shrimp and grits throw down, and how do we get hard copies of tickets for the event? Many of my customers are not computer savvy and would like to buy good old paper tickets... Any advertisement material would be most appreciated. Thanks, Bill Shady Lane Cafe

I'm going to confer with the rest of the organizers first; but I think that we might be able to supply some hard copy tickets, by the end of the week, to the establishments that are participating and that wish to sell them.

I understand that there may be the opportunity for some sort of really cool prize to go the location that sells the most tickets. :D
I sometimes forget myself that not everyone is computer savvy or may be leery about using their credit card online.

All,

By popular demand: Hard tickets are coming in the next couple of days, along with a pretty cool prize for the restaurant selling the most tickets. :D Posters will be delivered in the next several days too.

How many ya gonna sell, Bill?

Thanks for the tickets!! I will try my best to sell a bunch. Most of my customers realizing that I will obviously win seem reluctant to waste their money, but I reminded them it was for a good cause and there is also a wonderful view of the river.

Ah, but remind them that an extra perk of attending is that they get to share your bragging rights if you win!

All,

"Hard Tickets" have been printed and limited distribution should be complete to all participating restaurants by MONDAY evening. Please note, each restaurant received only 12 tickets...get 'em while they are hot. Tickets are also available via the link provided earlier in this thread.

To date ticket sales have been moderate but that is getting ready to change...We are expecting P.R. from most local media sources in the coming days and if history is any indication sales will spike dramatically when that happens. In other words, if you've been putting off buying your tickets...you might want to jump on them in the next 2 or 3 days to ensure they are available.

Folks...even if you are not a fan of "Seafood Chowder" this is an opportunity to make a difference. This is a local charity doing an awesome job for local children who are struggling with Autism. When you buy a ticket or donate additional money to The Hope Center for Growth you are not fueling organizational administration. Your money is not going into some faceless national bureaucratic machine...It's going straight to the local children who need it most. Please give generously.

Edit: We had to postpone delivering tickets to a couple of the restaurants do to a family emergency. Look for everyone to have received their allocation by Monday.
