I need your opinions

Hello all. I'm sorry that my first post is asking a favor, but I was referred here by someone who said you all would be a great community to contact. I'm conducting research for a project at UofL and I need survey responses. The survey is 7 questions (or less) and takes less than 2 minutes to finish. It's anonymous and requires no sign-in/setup. It's about restaurants and the internet.

I plan on being a part of this community as well because I love Louisville and I love food. Thank you for your time.

Welcome to the forum Zack. Is this a nationwide survey? I ask because Zagat doesn't have a presence here in Louisville.

It is open nationwide (or even internationally) as I have shared it with my friends, family, and other forums I belong to. That said, the majority of respondents are in/from Louisville. I'm also curious as to how many restaurant owners are on this forum? Or is it mostly foodies?

There's a mix of owners, chefs and foodies here with the majority being foodies with a good representation from the others. I think that to a degree depending on the percentage of respondents they come from this forum your results may become a little skewed!

That being said I just completed the survey. As mentioned by others it's very short and sweet and easy to fill out.

Having most of your sample be "foodies" and restaurant owners/managers/servers could tilt your results -- you might want to advertise elsewhere if you haven't already.

If this were a contest and I had to guess, I'd wager that (without any reseach) 15 owners, 10 chefs, and 10 GMs post here regularly (many fly by, but I'm talking about quality). Who knows what that equals in readers, and I know for sure that a crap ton of readers that are in the biz don't post or even join the membership, but they follow the threads. Total percentage of posters that are somehow related to the biz (vendors and what haves) likely account for 25 - 35 percent? Stab in the dark here!

Any one of us would love to be interviewed and several us can not. We will try not to jeopardize our lives or hurt those we love and serve in the name of media. It (this world) will always be based on loose averages because food has become so beautifully high profile. I pretty much embrace it, and my first lesson in the industry began with hospitality.
