I liked it, and thought it had a very attractive atmosphere as well as, as you say, friendly people and decent fare. That said, it did remind me an awful lot of Yang Kee Noodle.

Groupon will refund it if it hasn't expired and the business is closed.

I remember reading the Turkey Joe's thread...something about rent being outrageous in the little strip mall. Nevertheless, my one trip there was disappointing. They seemed like a lovely family who gave it their best shot, though.

Very nice couple, I am sad they couldn't make it work. It is a bear trying to get out of that lot and go South on Hurstbourne...that stopped me from zipping in many times... :(

Gary,

FYI- you can get a credit back on your Groupon- just call them. 100% satisfaction guarantee. I had a problem with another ( no-closed) business, and it was truly great customer service.

That is a difficult place...hope any other potential restaurantuers take notice!

Groupon is pretty good about refunds, they sent me an email a few weeks back about Conez n Coneyz closing. We had already used our groupon several months ago. We went to CnC just prior to closing and they said they were going to be re-opening further out...anyone know if that's still the case? We were there the last day they were open and they expected to be open a week or two later. I got the email from Groupon about the same time they should have been re-opening. No updates on CnC's website.

I sent them an e-mail a couple of months ago to find out their status. Unfortunately when they replied they told me they were not going to reopen.

That sucks I loved that place, and I had just filled up my card to get a free dog as well.

also i noticed that tony roma's that also went out of business, some of the signs on the front door are down. possibly it's been rented out. just my thoughts.

That shopping center really is startlingly vacant.

Bombay Grill is still worth the trip out there, though!

Something is going on at the old Our Best location in Fern Creek. The building has been repainted a light brown color, but the Our Best sign hasn't been taken down yet.

I have no clue what's going in there? Anyone?

Tony Roma's has not leased as far as I know.

That shopping center is having a rough time recently. Ten years ago it was 95%+ full; today it is half that. Talbot's recently announced that they were closing 300 stores nationally, they did not announce specific locations though.
That center just sold (this week) at a Commissioners Sale for many many millions below the amount of the loan. It will be interesting to see what happens next. The new owner (the lender) needs to increase revenue (new leases) and reduce expenses (delay / defer maintenance is how they usually do it). Once they can correct the operating income they may be able to sell it and make a few bucks.

Stopped by Umai Zushi Buffet last night and a handwritten sign on the door said "closed for business"!

Was in the area again tonight and it was totally dark at 6:00pm.
