Krispy Krunchy Chicken arrives in Louisville

by Harry Dennery » Tue Nov 09, 2010 6:52 pm

Just a note that Krispy Krunchy Chicken, the fastest growing Chicken Concept in the US, will begin operations in the Moby Dick store at 4848 Shelbyviille Road beginning next Wednesday Nov 17. While primarily a C Store concept, we think partnering with Don Rigazio at Moby Dick will be a great outlet.
Developed in Louisiana, the chicken has a Cajun Spice flavor and is extremely moist. With flavor throughout the chicken, not just in the breading, you will taste why it has become so successful around the country.
Give us a try and some honest feedback. You will be pleasantly surprised. And if you see me, introduce yourself as while I know some of you personally through my 20 years in the Food Service brokerage business I would enjoy meeting the people behind the posts.
There will be an ad in Thursday's Voice Tribune should you wish to save some money!!

Robin, thanks for hosting and posting.

One of my pet peeves is spelling words in a cute way. This is usually done to be alliterative. However, in this case spelling crispy and crunchy correctly would look much better in my opinion. Why the K's?

Which do you think looks best? While I am on this tack then what is with Krispy Kreme?

First off, I think it is classless for a restaurant owner to criticize another restaurant. This is especially true in your case. For a explanation look at Robin's review as you couldn't even get the name of your own restaurant/helicopter dealership right.

Per Robin's reply, that is exactly why it was spelled and is spelled in this fashion. We take great pride in our model which is great graphics, great training and most of all, superior Chicken sold fresh to our stores from Tyson and processed to our standards and specifications.
But we will let the Chicken do the clucking. As one FB reader wrote today, Krispy Krunchy, it's so munchy. Corny but accurate!
We believe our products walk the talk. P.S. for those who say walk the walk and talk the talk. Reflect for a moment and you will realize that phrased like that makes no sense. Properly spoken, one has to walk the talk. But enough for English for the day.
Hope to see you next week.

First off, i think it is classless for someone's only two posts to be blasting at others. Nice way to introduce, present yourself.

Secondly, welcome to the forum.

I guess my only question is: Is it better than Chicken King?? That has to be the best spicy fried chicken on earth...no grammar corrections, no class questions, just really incredible chicken. And cole slaw. And cornbread. I think I may have to compare the two... :D

I don't usually care how a restaurant spells their name. I care about the quality of the food and of the service along with cleanliness.

I LOVE spicy fried chicken. We have a Popeye's here in Etown, but I just can't get into it. It's overpriced and usually over-fried. Wish we had a Bojangles from down South.

We'll probably try it when we're running around Louisville.

Hope it goes well for you!

Trish, try M and M Get & Go in New Haven. Mike does a great business with our chicken. Or if traveling west try the store in Flaherty

Jeff yes it's near the Frisch's and Whole Foods

Trent,

Are your associated with any local food/restaurant business in the area?

And welcome .

Wish we had a Bojangles from down South.

I remember Bojangles in the old Fazzolis? location. Which, I THINK , become Queen Bee?

This forum is populated with a good number of folks affiliated with the Louisville restaurant and food business. If he wants to police those folks every time they offer a critique of another restaurant or food/drink-related establishment, he's going to be a busy guy.

Woah, slow down boy. I explained my reasoning to Robin. Not going to repeat it to you as it is none of your business. Krispy Krunchy Chicken is a chain. I hardly think my in jest critique is going to bother them. Yes, your fingers are going to be very busy if you get that het up over my little post. And I stand by my comments; neither krispy or krunchy are proper words.
