Take Home Thanksgiving from the Village Anchor
If you aren't much into cooking this Thanksgiving, reserve your holiday meal now from the Village Anchor! For $20 per person, Village Anchor's Take-Out-Turkey Strategy will (with the help of Chef Geoff -- Cheoffrey) surely make you out to be the most successful host this holiday. Here's what you get for 6, 12 or 18 people:
* One fabulous whole Turkey for either 6/12/18 people (approximately 8, 12, or 20 lbs.).
Seasoned Whole Turkey with garlic, onions, carrots, celery, sage and thyme.
* House-made French-cut Green Bean Casserole with creamed mushroom sauce, topped with crispy
onions (yeah--it's a bit tacky, but who doesn't like it, right?).
* Sliced sweet potato casserole with brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla butter and a touch of spiced
rum; baked with a perfectly crisped marshmallow topping
* The Village Anchor's famous Mashed Potatoes seasoned with garlic, butter and cream with
home-made turkey dripping gravy
* House made crunchy buttered cornbread dressing
* Kevin's holiday spiced Cranberry Sauce with oranges, carrots and a side of candied walnuts
* Fresh assorted french-style dinner rolls
* Grammaw's glazed Pumpkin Pie and spiced pecans for topping (we'd provide the whipped cream,
but don't think it will travel well).
The cost is $20 per person plus tax (please order in increments of 6, 12, 18). Just place your
order by Friday, November 19, so we can have your turkey, and we'll have everything ready for you to pick up on Wednesday, Thanksgiving eve. Everything will be pre-cooked and ready to pop in the oven. It couldn't be easier, and you get to have Cheoffrey (sortof) right in your own kitchen! (Plus, this gives you time to get the house cleaned before everybody gets there.) Call 708-1850 to reserve your Take-Out-Turkey dinner now!

We don't have the $60 per person budget for the big buffes (see also buying a house), so we are hoping for someone to take pity on us for closer to $20 per person.
