EVERYONE is cordially invited to attend the 2nd (it's becoming) Annual Hotbytes Potluck Benefit Dinner to be held on Sunday November 14th at 4:30pm.
Before getting into the details, we want to extend a special invitation to those of you who have yet to attend any of the offline functions. We know you're out there. We see you lurking, we read your occasional posts and we'd love to have you join us. So please give serious consideration to joining us for an evening of food and camaraderie.
OK...on to the details.
The event will be held on Sunday November 14th at the Cardinal Harbor Pavilion/Clubhouse at the intersection of Cardinal Harbor Way and Kenney Brown Lane in Prospect. Ed will be posting a link to a "Google" map of the location very shortly, so stay tuned. The festivities will begin with a social hour at 4:30pm with food being served at approx. 5:30pm. This years beneficiary will be "Dare to Care" and we are hoping to match the generosity of last years dinner when we raised over $350 dollars in cash and over 1200 individual food items. Please note, while we encourage everyone to bring a dish to pass and to open your hearts and wallets to help those less fortunate, neither of these are a requirement to come enjoy the evening with us.
Now for the minute details.
If you bring any type of dish that must be kept warm PLEASE bring it in either a standard (full or half) sized disposable aluminum serving pan or a self contained electrically powered warming unit (aka "Crock pot").
It is not necessary (and some might argue preferable) to post what particular dish you are bringing. That being said if you do plan to bring a dish, at a minimum, please try to give us some idea as to what type of dish you are bringing (e.g. appetizer, salad, protein, dessert, side dish, bread, etc). Doing so will give everyone some idea of where we stand in terms of the number of dishes in each category.
This dinner is a benefit for "Dare to Care". Should you wish to make a donation...and we hope you will, we will be accepting donations of NON-perishable food items as well as monetary donations (preferably in the form of your personal check). We are in the process of scheduling someone from Dare to Care to pick up all food and cash donations at the conclusion of the festivities.
Looking forward to seeing all kinds of smiling faces on November 14th.
