Awesome news! Are they keeping the restaurant open or just going to do ice cream? I would love to be able to get a great burger and an awesome milkshake. Seems like a pretty big area for just an ice cream shop.

Now I'm really worried that I'm going to pass the 200 pound mark with no limit in sight. Great news, though!

Robin, as a fellow Crescent Hill resident I agree 100% (especially about the weight issue...lol..). We have lived in CH for 11 years and one of the first things that we noticed was...no ice cream parlor!

I think they would have to tear it down and build new before I set foot in there.

Although the arrival of Conez and Coneyz last year went a long way to ameliorate that. I would put their dogs right up there with Lonnie's, by the way. Maybe a notch behind on the Chicago dog (no poppy-seed bun), but a notch ahead on variety.

I agree about the dogs...they're top-notch. I've tried their ice cream a couple times and found it OK, but nothing special...certainly not in the same league as CC

Yeah. I think that gutting the place and a thorough pressure washing is in order. I also think that a call to the exterminators is a must as soon as they sign the papers at closing.
I do wish them all the best and I'm sure that it will be a huge success. They are really nice guys!

Wow! The Cow is taking over the town, not that that's a bad thing. With the third location at the old Masterson's site, they have pretty good geographic coverage.

And ya'll know that whatever that new development is named, it will always be, "that new building where Masterson's used to be."

Correctamundo. But it was a start. ;) They say it's some kind of fancy brand, but when I ask what specifically, they get cagey. I even poked around out back to see if I could find discarded packaging, but it was no go ...

Can we have a 'Bye-Bye Frank Faris (and Adios to that House)' party?
