April says they would LOVE to accommodate our group, estimated at 20 or so, on the Lanai. Who's up for it?

Our tasks, if we want to make this happen:

1. Find a consensus date.

2. Sign up.

3. Someone volunteer to organize.

Not necessarily in that order.

Gayle, I'd be happy for you to, although I think someone was trying to draft Steve A in another thread. Maybe the two of you could talk and consider double-teaming to cut the work in half?

For the record, a consistent FAIL at deep frying knocked them down a bit in my rating compared with the CJ's judgment of perfection, but it's still a damn good place, with outstanding atmosphere and an excellent bill of fare.

And I kind of suspect that they've taken a look t that frying issue by now.

Maybe they have been real busy and the fryer temp didn't have time to recover. Or they weren't allowing time. We only eat fried chicken once a year - at st. Josephs picnic. We don't eat fried food. My mother never fried nor have I. Fried food can taste good!

Totally agree, Gayle! I want this to happen so I can go back to the Pub & Roost.

I only wanted to make sure that Steve's toes didn't get stepped on, because I *think* I remember there being talk in another thread about making the new guy do the work ... Could you PM him?

It could be a possibility for us. But first I need to be sure my "papers" are in order and then there is that whole misunderstanding about the morals charges in Paducah many years ago.
