5th Annual Keg Liquors Fest of Ale, June 5th

by Todd Antz » Mon Apr 19, 2010 4:25 pm

The 5th Annual Keg Liquors Fest of Ale and Wine is scheduled this year for June 5th from 3 - 7 PM. What is the Fest of Ale? It is a charity beer festival to help raise funds for the WHAS Crusade for Children. This year we will have 30+ Breweries, 3 Craft Beer Distributors, 4 Fine Wine Distributors, over 150 craft and import beers, wine, food, charity silent auction and raffle and more! Last year we raised over $3500 for the WHAS Crusade for Children, and we are looking to top that number with this festival.

Tickets for the event will be $25 in advance, and $30 the day of the event and will be available after the beginning of May at Keg Liquors, New Albanian Brewing Company, BBC Taproom, and online via our website.

The event will be held at St. Anthony's of Padua at 320 North Sherwood Avenue, Clarksville, Indiana 47129-2798. This is a rain or shine event, as their facilities will allow us to move indoors in case of inclement weather, or we will hold it outdoors under tents as we have in the past.

For a list of breweries that will be participating in the festival, check out the website at: http://www.kegliquors.com/fest_participant.html . This list is growing as we get closer to the festival.

For any other information about the festival, please check out our website at
http://www.kegliquors.com/fest_of_ale.html, or feel free to contact me either here, or at my contact information below.

Online ticket sales for the event just went live today, and I've updated the website with the appropriate links. You can either click near the top of the page where it says tickets, or you can click on the nice "Buy Tickets Now" button a bit further down the page. http://www.kegliquors.com/fest_of_ale.htm .

I should receive delivery of the regular tickets on Monday or Tuesday, and I will be delivering them around town so that you can buy them from spots other than our store, or online.

The St. Anthony's Men's group does all the food. Last year it was burgers and brats and nachos. Nothing too fancy, but they were very reasonable and they raised over $500 for St. Anthony's scholarships. It was pretty good beer festival food however!

I have the first draft of the program for this year's festival. I am still waiting to hear back from a few of the breweries to nail down their list, as well as the wine reps, but it is 90% ready.

Here is the link to it: http://www.kegliquors.com/images/upload ... rogram.pdf

I've updated the program with the most current information. All of the wines are listed, and 95% (or so) of the breweries have given me the list of beers to be poured. It's also in a format that is a bit easier to read than was previously posted. http://www.kegliquors.com/images/upload ... rogram.pdf

I've also finished up the layout/map of the tent to show where everyone will be. http://www.kegliquors.com/images/upload ... Layout.pdf

Elsa AKA Elsa von Horizon Imperial Pilsner is part of our Brewer's Best Friend Series. Perhaps you enjoyed an Elsa or two last time you were at Bank Street Brewhouse?

It sounds more like I enjoyed a Hoptimus or 3 and tried talking to the Elsa tap handle the last time I was at Bank Street!

See Todd Antz on WHAS talking about The Keg Fifth Annual Fest of Ale. The KFoA donates a portion of the proceeds to the Crusade For Children, a local charity.

If there is any restaurant that would like to donate gift cards/gift certificates to our silent auction for the Crusade for Children, please send me a PM on here. I will gladly come over and pick them up. This is a great way to get some exposure for your business, and also to help out a worthy cause.
