With a whiskey theme, of course!

Whiskey Row is growing again.

In two weeks, three new restaurants and bars will open in the historic district.

One of the restaurants is tapping into the heritage of its new home to provide a unique dining experience.

"So we got our New York strip, bone in ribeye, bone in filet coming off our oak fired grill," said JP Carter, executive chef of Repeal.

The new high-end, oak-fired steakhouse is located inside Hotel Distil.

"We also have some bourbon barrel staves we'll be stoking in there just to enhance that flavor and also pay homage to when the buildings burnt down and everything and the history that kind of goes into what we have here as far as the restaurant and what we're offering and providing," Carter said.

Repeal offers a 75 seat dining room with views of Main Street in Downtown Louisville.

A private dining area called the barrel room overlooks the main restaurant with its own bar and bourbon tasting from barrels selected specifically for Repeal.

The menu includes bourbon inspired foods and beef sourced from a farm in Wyoming.

Repeal also offers 400 different wines and more than 100 specialty bourbons.

"These curated bourbons that we have right now, the oldest that's arrived is, I think, from 1961, so we're starting to have that arrive, these are things that are very special to Repeal that you won't find at another steak house—you won't find really at another restaurant," said Denise Ploof, general manager of Repeal and Bitters End.

Adjacent to Repeal is Bitters End, an open-air bar with a retractable glass roof.

Just around the corner is Zombie Taco and Bar Moxy.

Zombie taco is a 24-hour restaurant offering breakfast, lunch and dinner.

While the restaurants and bars are all different, they share a common theme.

"It definitely speaks to the culture here as far as bourbon and Whiskey Row just kind of revitalizing the whole street and the industry and what we're doing here," said Carter.

The bars and restaurants open on Oct. 29.

Your steak is always better when it comes from out of town and carries a briefcase.

Simple logic: What's the University of Wyoming's mascot? Yep, the Cowboy.
