Italian/St. Joseph Pastry

by Michele Janosek » Mon Mar 19, 2018 2:50 pm

Does anyone know of a place where I can get Italian pastries? My parents are in search of a bakery where they can buy a St. Joseph Pastry (Sfingi) or a Lobster Tail (Sfogliatella). My baking talent is minimal, so I am not going to try an execute myself, but I was hoping that someone has a secret place that they wouldn't mind sharing.

Thanks!

Michele, you might give a shout out to Andrea Mancini, a onetime forumite who owns Q&A Sweet Treats in LaGrange. Andrea boasts Italian heritage, and along with cookies and other goodies makes Italian breads. She might be able to contract for the San Giuseppe treats if she doesn't do them regularly.
