by Ralph B. » Tue Mar 09, 2010 11:46 am

Hey Gang,

Thought you foodies and chefs may find this news interesting (click link below to download PDF)!

http://www.whatchefswant.com/new-buildi ... FINAL7.pdf

For those of you who haven't seen it already, this will also be an intro to our new logo/branding. We will be introducing the new branding slowly but surely across all of our marketing channels (print, truck graphics, web, etc). We will also be introducing our new website within the next couple of months. Lots of great stuff happening.

Look forward to all of your comments and suggestions!

Ralph,
This is impressive and will make a remarkable impact on the area. However, March 2011 is far off and we've seen so many projects knocked off its feet here in Louisville in the past few years that I'll need to see it to believe it---so make a believer out of me,..... please!!!!!

Good luck and prosperity

It's only one year! :D

If it makes you feel better...I personally guarantee that this is gonna happen. If not...I buy you a sammich. It doesn't get much stronger than the "Sammich Guarantee".

Judging by your website and previous posts it is obvious that this is a deal ready to go. I just wanted to flush it out a little more by provoking you. Thanks for the reassurance.

I've been waiting for this one. What a tremendous anchor for NuLu, and a draw for downtown living. One thing I'm wondering about, though, is CG's conflicting or symbiotic relationship with the proposed public market in NuLu. From my sources, that market is still a go. Would they compete amicably or be a duplication of effort?

I note that ominous phrase on the document: "...we have a settlement with the Highway Bridges Project." It is frightening that that hideous project looms like the Death Star over the smarter development of Louisville. I cannot imagine the hideous scar that old-school, backward vision would slash across the city. It would make us an ugly laughing stock that no sane young, smart person would be drawn to. It must be stopped.

Funny. It's going to take more than a sammich to plug up the Creation Gardens-sized hole in my shopping and cooking routine. :(

I don't use this forum to be harsh on places but I really don't like that a) this new, beautiful building did not happen and b) CG is leaving downtown and going to produce lane and making all retail business go through online channels. Is this still happening? I have to order retail online? Without looking at it first? Am I confused because I don't know what is going on?

Either way, I don't like it at all but whatever.
